How does it work then?
When you arrive, our reception volunteers will check you and your item in.
Depending on the time you turn up and the number of volunteer repairers available, there could be a short wait.
Tea and coffee is available and you can also watch some repairs and chat to other guests and volunteers.

Our volunteer fixers will come and find you when they are due to look at your item and we encourage you to observe and assist with the repair.
The fixers will explain what they are doing and why, giving you a chance to gain some knowledge - and pick up some new practical skills!
The fixer may find that your item is fixable but a new part is needed. If this is the case, you will be given the part details, so you can purchase the part and return next time for the repair to be completed.

If your item is irreparable the reasons for this will be explained and advice given on the safest and easiest way to dispose of it.
There is no charge for the repairs but we are grateful for any donations which help to cover our costs.
